TEMPORARY PROTECTIVE ORDERS

Georgia has a law for protecting victims of family violence.  The parties do not have to be married to seek this relief.  The court can issue a temporary order evicting the offending party from the residence, or provide suitable housing for the victim and children, as well as financial relief.

If you have been served a temporary protective order, your hearing will be set no longer than 30 days from the date you were served.  This is why it is imperative to contact and hire me immediately, so that I may have time to prepare and file an answer as well as preparation for the trial.

If you have children, the court will determine temporary custody, child support, visitation, and payments of debts.

If you have filed for a TPO, you need to contact me immediately, so I can assist you in prosecuting the offender and fully protect your rights and interests.
